"I have long been a student and great admirer of the Impressionists and, at the risk of labeling myself, my work leans in that direction. A great deal of my time is spent outdoors, observing the effect that changing light has on the landscape. Most of my work is in pastel or gouache, and I never seem to tire of experimenting with both."

As working with wood has always been a serious hobby of mine, I take pride in the fact that all my frames are designed and manufactured in my own shop and are an integral part of the the finished piece of art.

Recently I have returned to my first love of transparent watercolour, and am enjoying expressing myself as a watercolourist again.
